The Fixer and the Frogg

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you may already know how excited I am to share the fourth book in my Once Upon a Temptation series.

The Fixer and the Frogg follows Maya Russell, the best friend of the main character from book one. I’ve loved Maya from the beginning, so getting the chance to give her a story—and a happily ever after—of her own felt especially meaningful.

I’ve always been drawn to fairytales. I love the magic, the romance, and the promise that even complicated people can find their way to a happy ending. This book is not a traditional adaptation, but it does have a playful frog-and-princess inspiration woven through a modern, steamy romance.

Maya Russell knows a bad risk when she sees one.

As a cybersecurity consultant, she is paid to uncover vulnerabilities, question charming executives, and prepare for everything that might go wrong. Bennett Frogg—dangerously attractive, infuriatingly relaxed, and determined to turn every serious conversation into flirtation—checks far too many of her warning boxes.

She calls him Frog under her breath.

Unfortunately, he hears her.

Bennett built his hospitality company by trusting his instincts and learning how to recover when plans fall apart. Maya sees chaos hidden behind an expensive smile. Bennett sees a brilliant woman using caution to protect herself from anything she cannot control.

Then she kisses the frog.

Their professional friction quickly becomes heated arguments, reckless kisses, and nights that leave Maya’s carefully constructed rules scattered across Bennett’s floor. He makes her laugh when she wants to stay angry, and she begins to see the pressure and vulnerability beneath his easy charm.

Neither of them expects a temporary temptation to become the safest thing they have ever known.

But chemistry is not the same as character.

Bennett must prove that his charm is more than a performance, while Maya must decide whether protecting herself from heartbreak is worth losing the man who makes her feel fully alive.

This story is filled with workplace enemies-to-lovers tension, sharp banter, forced proximity, emotional vulnerability, explicit chemistry, and a hard-earned happily ever after.

At its heart, though, it is about two people learning that love does not always feel safe at first—and that sometimes the person who challenges your defenses is also the person who finally makes you feel understood.
