A Dream Years in the Making

Good morning, and welcome back.
For more than twenty years, I’ve been writing—quietly, consistently, and often in the margins of a very full life. In that time, I’ve written over thirty books. Most of them lived on my laptop, tucked away, waiting for a “someday” I wasn’t sure would ever come.
Life had other priorities first. Raising three children, navigating the beautiful and sometimes overwhelming realities of family life—I chose to be present for that season. And while I don’t regret that choice for a second, the dream of publishing never really let me go.
Now, with my youngest in school and a little more space to breathe (at least some days), I’m finally stepping into that dream. I’m in the process of preparing my books for publication on Amazon, and it feels both surreal and deeply right—like something I’ve been moving toward all along.
I haven’t done this alone. A dear friend of mine, V. R. Friesen, helped open the door to the publishing world. We’ve been friends since we were eleven, bonded by a shared love of storytelling, and seeing that come full circle now means more than I can fully put into words.
This journey has stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. Writing the stories was only the beginning—there’s formatting, cover design, learning the ins and outs of publishing, and building this space here. Some days feel overwhelming. Most days feel worth it.
Because the truth is, these stories matter to me. They always have.
They’re no longer just files on a screen—they’re finally finding their way into the world. And I hope, truly, that somewhere along the way, they find their way to you.
