Hey everyone,

I’m so excited to introduce book seven in my Making Love Count series, Seven Ways to Hide.

Every book in this series has its own heart, but Tressa and Reid’s story quickly became one I loved spending time with because beneath all the teasing, ridiculous disguises, filthy jokes, and undeniable chemistry, this is really a story about what it means to feel safe enough to let someone truly know you.

Tressa Danner isn’t looking for romance when she walks into Ramsey Auto. She just wants somebody to fix her car.

Unfortunately for her, the mechanic standing in the garage is shirtless, sarcastic, completely inappropriate… and very, very familiar.

Because Reid Ramsey isn’t only a mechanic.

He’s also the breakout actor Tressa has secretly been watching on television for the last two years.

Reid has become accustomed to people recognizing him before they ever really know him. Fame has taught him to be careful. Guarded. Suspicious of motives.

Then Tressa walks into his garage and refuses to be impressed.

She gives every filthy joke right back to him. She challenges him. She makes him laugh. And instead of treating Reid Ramsey the Actor like a prize, she seems far more interested in the grease-covered mechanic underneath all of it.

What begins with banter and attraction slowly becomes something neither of them was expecting.

There are ridiculous disguises.

Secret dates.

Terrible music.

A lot of inappropriate automotive innuendo.

And somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, two people who are very good at protecting themselves begin building something surprisingly ordinary.

Something comfortable.

Something real.

That was one of my favorite things about writing this book. Tressa and Reid have plenty of heat—and believe me, these two have absolutely no shortage of chemistry—but some of my favorite moments are the quiet ones. The coffee. The long drives. The family dinners. The everyday conversations where they slowly realize that the boring parts of loving someone might actually be the most important parts.

Of course, Reid has spent years learning that privacy is how he protects himself.

And Tressa has spent years making sure she always has an exit.

So when one innocent mistake suddenly puts their private relationship into the spotlight, all of those old fears come rushing back.

And Reid is forced to confront a difficult question:

Is loving someone really about protecting the relationship from the outside world—or trusting the person beside you when everything goes wrong?

Seven Ways to Hide is funny, emotional, steamy, messy, and ultimately a story about learning the difference between privacy and hiding.

It’s about choosing someone without losing yourself.

It’s about finding home in another person while still standing firmly on your own two feet.

And it’s about discovering that sometimes the safest love isn’t the one hidden behind locked doors.

It’s the one strong enough to survive when those doors suddenly open.

I hope you fall in love with Tressa and Reid as much as I did.

Seven Ways to Hide is available now on Amazon.

Thank you, as always, for reading these stories, loving these characters, and continuing this series with me. I’m incredibly grateful that I get to keep sharing them with you.

Happy reading,

Kara Lynne
